Huracán Sterrato: Lamborghini’s new off-road supercar

After being presented in concept form in 2019, the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato has been unveiled in its final version. Additional lighting, increased ground clearance and body protectors are the hallmarks of this off-road supercar. It can tackle steep roads, gravel and mud. Only 1,499 units are available.

A SUPERCAR THAT CAN TAKE ON THE OPEN ROAD

The Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato is the last of the Italian brand’s vehicles to have a 100% petrol engine. It seems to have come from another world. In terms of design, it has received an air scoop on the roof and additional LED headlights on the bonnet. Wheel arches have also been fitted, with a 34 mm widening on the rear track and 30 mm on the front track reinforced with black composite materials.

The Huracán Sterrato is equipped with 4-piston rear and 6-piston front brakes, as well as all-wheel drive. In order to increase the suspension travel, the ground clearance has been raised by 44 mm. Mouldings have been integrated into the fender contour and the lower bodywork. The 19-inch wheels have been custom-designed for an optimal balance between off-road performance and track prowess.

The improvements are not just cosmetic. The Italian company says the new intake allows the engine to “breathe better”. The aluminium plates at the front protect the vehicle from potential damage and scratches.
For off-road use of the Huracán Sterrato, several new features are present in the cabin. For example, there is a steering angle indicator, a geographical coordinates indicator, a compass, a rally mode, a digital inclinometer with roll and pitch indicator, and an on-board computer. The Huracán Sterrato’s sporty character is not overlooked. The manufacturer has retained the naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10. The engine delivers a maximum output of 610 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. It is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an electronically controlled system.

Of course, performance is still top-notch as the Huracán Sterrato accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h.
