Lamborghini Revuelto: Lamborghini’s new hybrid supercar
Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini has announced the launch of its new plug-in hybrid sports car model, the Lamborghini Revuelto. The new supercar will be powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, as well as three electric motors with 150 hp each. Two of these are integrated into the front wheels and the third into the transmission to give a total power output of 1,015 hp.
The electric motor will be powered by a high-performance 3.8 kW lithium-ion battery, which can be recharged via an external charging socket or by using kinetic energy recovered during braking. According to Lamborghini, this hybrid technology will enable the Revuelto to reach a top speed of more than 350 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds.
The Revuelto will also feature an all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring for improved handling, as well as a carbon-ceramic braking system for maximum efficiency. Lamborghini also plans to offer customisation options for the car’s body and interior.
In terms of design, the Revuelto is expected to be inspired by Lamborghini’s historic models, while incorporating modern and futuristic design elements. It will be produced in a limited edition of just 499 units, with an estimated base price of around €2.5 million.
The announcement of the Lamborghini Revuelto is part of the brand’s strategy to offer more environmentally friendly models, while maintaining Lamborghini’s iconic performance and style. The new plug-in hybrid supercar is therefore an important step in the transition to greener vehicles for the Italian brand.
