The German manufacturer Audi has renamed its first 100% electric production model. For its “restyling<\/em>“, the e-tron adopted the surname Q8 e-tron<\/strong>. This high-end SUV has benefited from a more athletic design and better autonomy. It is available in a classic version, in a Sportback version and even in the sporty SQ8 e-tron version. AUDI Q8 E-TRON: A NEW \u201cCORPORATE\u201d IDENTITY<\/h2>\n

The Q8 e-tron embodies the “corporate<\/em>” identity of the manufacturer. It strikes a perfect balance between sportiness and comfort, thanks to air suspensions with controlled shock absorption. The vehicle’s aerodynamics have also been improved: the thrust coefficient has notably gone from 0.28 to 0.27. To obtain this value, electric shutters were installed on the radiator grille. Their automatic opening \/ closing allowed the optimization of air flows. Due to their very low position on the body, the spoilers deflect the air around the wheels. The brand has reworked the shield and the Singleframe grille. The latter has been slightly widened and extends to the optics. It includes an elegant LED bar and displays the Audi logo in 2D. The light signature is of the Digital Matrix type and indicates to the driver his position on the road.<\/p>\n

The passenger compartment has hardly undergone any changes. You will find, for example, the Full HD Virtual Cockpit, the 2 high-resolution touch screens (one of which is 8.6 inches and another 10.1 inches), the MMI operating system… Recycled materials have been used for insulation and floor mats. Some safety devices have been designed with automotive plastic residue.<\/p>\n

EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE AND INCREASED AUTONOMY<\/h2>\n

The Audi Q8 50 e-tron<\/strong> and the Q8 50 Sportback<\/strong> e-tron have 2 engines and are the entry-level models. They deliver a torque of 664 Nm and a power of 250 kW (Boost mode). They have a range of 491 km and 505 km respectively. With their 3 engines, the S versions are the top-of-the-range models. They generate a torque of 973 Nm and a maximum power of 370 kW.<\/p>\n

Regarding autonomy, it is 513 km for the Sportback and 494 km for the SUV. For their part, the Q8 55 e-tron and the Q8 55 Sportback e-tron provide a torque of 664 Nm and a power of 300 kW. The autonomy is 582 km for the first and 600 km for the second.<\/p>\n
