After renewing its range with the Grande Panda, Fiat is continuing its product offensive with the upcoming arrival of the Grizzly. This new compact SUV, scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026, will be joined by a variant called the Grizzly Fastback. While the two models share a common technical platform, they adopt different approaches to meet a variety of customer expectations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two body styles designed for different needs<\/span><\/h2>\n

Measuring less than 4.50 metres in length, the Fiat Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback compete in the highly contested compact SUV segment. Both models share a strong visual identity, characterised by a modern front end featuring a large black grille displaying the Fiat name and a lighting signature composed of slim horizontal LED elements.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Grizzly favours a traditional architecture with an almost horizontal roofline designed to maximise interior space and luggage capacity. The Grizzly Fastback, meanwhile, adopts a more dynamic silhouette thanks to its sloping roofline and sharply inclined rear window. This approach gives it a sportier appearance while retaining the rugged characteristics associated with the brand\u2019s SUVs. Pronounced wheel arches, body protection elements and front and rear skid plates further reinforce its adventurous character.<\/span><\/p>\n

Electrified powertrains tailored to modern needs<\/span><\/h2>\n

To develop the Grizzly, Fiat is using Stellantis\u2019 Smart Car platform, which is already employed by several compact models within the group. This multi-energy architecture will allow the brand to offer powertrains suited to a wide range of customer requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

The future Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback are expected to be available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain based on the 1.2-litre petrol engine, with outputs reaching up to 145 hp. A fully electric version is also anticipated. It is expected to use the 113 hp electric motor already found in other models within the group, paired with a 54 kWh battery offering a range of up to approximately 400 kilometres according to the relevant homologation cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to fast-charging capability allowing the battery to recharge from 20% to 80% in around thirty minutes, this electric version is intended to meet the needs of both daily commuting and longer journeys.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new chapter for the Fiat range<\/span><\/h2>\n

With the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, Fiat is strengthening its presence in the compact SUV market while continuing its electrification strategy. By offering two complementary body styles, the Italian brand aims to appeal both to families seeking a versatile vehicle and to motorists who favour a more dynamic design.<\/span><\/p>\n

The commercial launch of both models is expected during the second half of 2026. Until then, Fiat is likely to gradually reveal further details regarding equipment levels, onboard technologies and the different trim versions available.<\/span><\/p>\n
