Far from being intended solely for traffic control duties, this hybrid supercar will also be used for missions with significant social value, including the urgent transport of organs for transplantation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Since 2004, several Lamborghini models have joined the Italian police fleet, from the Gallardo and Hurac\u00e1n to the Urus Performante.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">A supercar serving emergency missions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Lamborghini Temerario combines a <span class=\"s1\"><b>4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors<\/b><\/span> to deliver a total output of <span class=\"s1\"><b>920 hp (677 kW)<\/b><\/span>. Its hybrid powertrain enables it to accelerate from <span class=\"s1\"><b>0 to 100 km\/h in 2.7 seconds<\/b><\/span> and reach a top speed of more than <span class=\"s1\"><b>340 km\/h<\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">These performance figures take on a particular significance here. The Lamborghini models entrusted to the Polizia di Stato are notably used for the rapid transport of organs when time is a determining factor in the success of a transplant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Since the beginning of this collaboration more than twenty years ago, <span class=\"s1\"><b>more than 200 organs have been transported aboard Italian police Lamborghini vehicles<\/b><\/span>. These vehicles also take part in road safety awareness initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">More than twenty years of collaboration between Lamborghini and the Polizia di Stato<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This new Temerario continues a collaboration that began in <span class=\"s1\"><b>2004 with a Lamborghini Gallardo<\/b><\/span>.
