On 30 September, Segond Automobiles brought together more than one hundred customers and prospective customers at Villa La Vigie, within the Monte-Carlo Beach, for an evening dedicated to Lamborghini. Guests were able to take a close look at the three models in the current range: the Temerario<\/a> super sports car, the Revuelto<\/a> flagship and the Urus SE<\/a> Super SUV. Several pre-owned models selected by the dealership completed the line-up on display. The evening was also an opportunity to talk with the Segond Automobiles teams about what links these three models: at Lamborghini, electrification serves performance first and foremost.<\/span><\/p>\n

Temerario, Revuelto, Urus SE: three ways of combining combustion and electric power<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Revuelto took centre stage. The brand\u2019s first V12 hybrid model, it combines a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, which produces 825 PS on its own, with three electric motors: two on the front axle and one positioned above the gearbox. Combined output reaches 1,015 PS. It is also the first 12-cylinder Lamborghini fitted with a dual-clutch gearbox, in this case an eight-speed unit mounted transversely. Built on a new carbon-fibre structure, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km\/h in 2.5 seconds and exceeds 350 km\/h.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Temerario succeeds the Hurac\u00e1n and follows the same approach in a more compact format. Its all-new twin-turbo V8 revs up to 10,000 rpm. It is paired with three electric motors for a total output of 920 PS. It has a claimed 0 to 100 km\/h time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of more than 340 km\/h. It is the Lamborghini best suited to those looking for a super sports car that is easier to use every day, without sacrificing the brand\u2019s character.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Urus SE is Lamborghini\u2019s first plug-in hybrid Super SUV. Its 4.0 twin-turbo V8 is coupled with an electric motor positioned between the combustion engine and the eight-speed automatic gearbox. Together, they deliver 800 PS and 950 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km\/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km\/h.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyday hybrid driving and a pre-owned selection<\/span><\/h2>\n

Beyond the figures, much of the evening\u2019s discussion focused on everyday use. The Urus SE is the best example. Its 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery allows it to travel up to around 60 km in fully electric mode, at speeds of up to 130 km\/h. For short journeys between Monaco, Menton or Nice, some trips can therefore be made without running the combustion engine. The vehicle also retains the interior space and versatility of a four-seat SUV.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the Revuelto and the Temerario, hybridisation primarily serves performance and traction. The electric motors on the front axle provide all-wheel drive, making it easier to exploit very high power outputs. Visitors were able to sit inside the cars, explore the interiors and ask questions about both everyday driving and track use.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pre-owned models on display broadened the perspective. They showed that a Lamborghini project can also take the form of a vehicle that is already available, selected and prepared by the dealership, with shorter lead times than for a new order.<\/span><\/p>\n
