THE ABARTH 595 MODELS, SMALL BUT SPORTY !

Karl Abarth, born in 1908, was a racing car preparer. He modified the standard models of the Italian manufacturer Fiat to make them competition cars. Since then, Fiat has continued this know-how by introducing the Abarth series into its range. They are recognizable by their acronym, a scorpion, which was the sign of its founder's zodiac.

The range Abarth notably the Fiat 500, which is the Italian manufacturer's smallest model. Thus modified, the Fiat 500 Abarth is no longer just a pocket city car! It is a concentration of sport, innovation and comfort. Fiat also introduced the Abarth 595 special series which were presented for the first time at the Bologna Motor Show in 2011. Originally, this series would introduce a new power level of 160 hp, located between that of the original Fiat 500 Abarth (135 hp) and that of the 695 Abarth (180 hp). Subsequently, the 595 Abarth range was restyled, both from the point of view of design and engines. Over time, the range has been enhanced by numerous variations: 595 Competizione, 595 Turismo, 595 Pista, 595 Esseesse. Each model is distinguished by its engine or by its equipment. This article presents in particular the Competizione and Turismo models.​
