The Bugatti W16 Mistral: A Tribute to the W16, an Exceptional Roadster
Discover the Bugatti W16 Mistral, a masterpiece of automotive engineering that marks the end of an era for the legendary W16 engine. This exclusive roadster, limited to just 99 units, promises unique sensations and stunning design.
A Legend Takes Flight
The Bugatti W16 Mistral is much more than a car. It is the swan song of an iconic engine, the quad-turbo W16, which has defined nearly two decades of technical prowess and speed records. Inspired by the Mistral, a powerful wind from the south of France, the Mistral perfectly embodies the fusion of raw power and refined elegance.
Since the end of production of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse in 2015, Bugatti enthusiasts have eagerly awaited a new open-top model. Here it is at last, with features that push the boundaries of modern automotive engineering.
BUGATTI MISTRAL: INSPIRED BY THE WIND
Like the Mistral, the powerful wind from the south of France, the Bugatti W16 Mistral embodies strength and grace, cruising the roads with unmatched elegance and power.
Breathtaking Performance and Exterior Design
The Bugatti W16 Mistral does not merely inherit the engine from the Chiron Super Sport and Super Sport 300+; it transcends it. With 1,600 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque, this roadster aims to become the fastest convertible in the world. Despite its open-top design, the Mistral is engineered to deliver unmatched performance, reminiscent of the Grand Sport Vitesse which reached 409 km/h. The Mistral's body, though sharing the platform with the Chiron, is radically different. The iconic C-shaped motif of the Chiron has been reimagined to suit the convertible design, with a line running from the window to the car's nose, elegantly integrating air intakes and optimizing aerodynamics.
The inclined windscreen and new roof-mounted air intakes are reminiscent of historic Bugatti models, offering both rollover protection and a unique aesthetic. The front of the Mistral, dominated by a horseshoe-shaped air intake, evokes Cold War-era fighter jets, while the horizontal LED strips add a futuristic touch. At the rear, the performance-driven design features large cavities for hot air evacuation and X-shaped taillights that are reminiscent of the Bugatti Bolide.
A Luxurious and Innovative Interior
Inside, the Bugatti W16 Mistral blends tradition with modernity. The dashboard and interior layout borrow elements from the Chiron, using noble materials such as aluminium and titanium. Wood finishes and an amber insert containing a sculpture of a dancing elephant, a homage to Rembrandt Bugatti, add a touch of craftsmanship and refinement. Every detail of the cabin is designed to offer ultimate comfort while staying true to the Bugatti spirit.
Intuitive controls, a high-quality audio system, and ergonomic leather seats contribute to an exceptional driving experience. The Mistral is a space where luxury and performance harmoniously coexist, offering its occupants an unforgettable journey every time. In summary, the Bugatti W16 Mistral is not just a vehicle; it is a moving work of art, celebrating Bugatti's heritage and promising an unparalleled driving experience.
