A 920 hp Lamborghini Temerario joins the Italian police

The collaboration between Lamborghini and the Italian police continues with the arrival of a new Temerario specially equipped for the Polizia di Stato. Far from being intended solely for traffic control duties, this hybrid supercar will also be used for missions with significant social value, including the urgent transport of organs for transplantation.

Since 2004, several Lamborghini models have joined the Italian police fleet, from the Gallardo and Huracán to the Urus Performante.

A supercar serving emergency missions

The Lamborghini Temerario combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors to deliver a total output of 920 hp (677 kW). Its hybrid powertrain enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 340 km/h.

These performance figures take on a particular significance here. The Lamborghini models entrusted to the Polizia di Stato are notably used for the rapid transport of organs when time is a determining factor in the success of a transplant.

Since the beginning of this collaboration more than twenty years ago, more than 200 organs have been transported aboard Italian police Lamborghini vehicles. These vehicles also take part in road safety awareness initiatives.

More than twenty years of collaboration between Lamborghini and the Polizia di Stato

This new Temerario continues a collaboration that began in 2004 with a Lamborghini Gallardo. Several generations of models have since served the Italian police, with vehicles specially adapted to meet the requirements of their missions.

With the Temerario, Lamborghini is now bringing its new high-performance hybrid technology to this long-standing partnership, combining the performance for which the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand is renowned with missions where rapid intervention can help save lives.
