Lamborghini Temerario HPEV: Francesco Bagnaia Impressed by the New Electrified Twin-Turbo V8

When a double MotoGP world champion meets an exceptional supercar, the thrill is guaranteed. Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia, Ducati rider crowned in 2022 and 2023, recently took the wheel of the new Lamborghini Temerario HPEV. His verdict? An electrified twin-turbo V8 capable of reaching 10,000 rpm, delivering a truly extraordinary driving experience. A meeting of two high-performance worlds, united by a shared passion for engineering excellence.

WHEN TWO-WHEEL EXCELLENCE MEETS FOUR-WHEEL POWER

Francesco Bagnaia is not only a world-class rider—he’s also a Lamborghini enthusiast. He didn’t hesitate for a second when invited to test drive the Temerario, Lamborghini’s new High Performance Electrified Vehicle, still undergoing homologation. Powered by an all-new twin-turbo V8 combined with three electric motors, this supercar produces 920 horsepower, sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in just 7.1 seconds, and boasts a top speed of 343 km/h. But beyond the impressive numbers, it’s the raw emotion that struck the Ducati rider: “Reaching 10,000 rpm is incredible. It feels like driving a finely tuned naturally aspirated engine—the revs rise so smoothly.” According to him, this is a power that’s not only exhilarating but also surprisingly accessible, making for a driving experience that’s both intense and refined.
