Fiat Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback: the new family SUVs revealed

A few months after revealing the first images of the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, Fiat is now revealing more about its two new family SUVs. Two complementary models that will expand the Italian manufacturer’s range with three types of powertrain – petrol, hybrid and 100% electric – and two body styles designed to meet different needs.

Two family SUVs, two personalities

Fiat has chosen to offer its new SUV in two body styles. The Grizzly adopts a traditional silhouette focused on space and versatility. At 4.39 metres long and with a boot capacity of more than 600 litres, its family-oriented character is clear.

The Grizzly Fastback takes styling a step further. Measuring 4.49 metres in length, it stands out primarily through its sloping roofline and more streamlined rear section. This design gives it a more dynamic personality while retaining the versatility expected of a family vehicle.

Both models share a common identity with an upright front end, pronounced wheel arches and numerous body protection elements that emphasise their SUV character.

Petrol, hybrid and 100% electric powertrains

Fiat has also confirmed that the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will be offered with three types of powertrain: petrol, hybrid and 100% electric.

This multi-energy offering will allow the two SUVs to meet very different needs, from daily journeys to longer family trips. However, Fiat has not yet published detailed technical specifications for the various powertrains on its French website, including their power outputs, battery capacities or the range of the electric versions.

Further details about the different configurations are therefore expected to be announced as their October launch approaches.

An interior designed for everyday life

Inside, Fiat places particular emphasis on space, comfort and ease of use. The Grizzly models notably feature an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen providing access to navigation, multimedia functions and the vehicle’s main settings.

Other features revealed include the Lingotto floating console, designed to provide easily accessible storage, as well as Full LED headlights. 18-inch alloy wheels also contribute to the model’s visual identity.

The Grizzly particularly stands out for its boot capacity of more than 600 litres, an impressive figure for a 4.39-metre SUV. Fiat therefore intends to offer a vehicle compact enough for everyday use while retaining the space required for family trips.

With the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback, Fiat is expanding its range with two new SUVs that share the same philosophy while offering two different interpretations: greater versatility and space for the Grizzly, and a more dynamic silhouette for the Grizzly Fastback.
