PORSCHE CARRERA CUP FRANCE 2019

So young and so promising, your Antibes & Monaco Porsche Centers are proud to sponsor this year, Florian Latorre, RMS Team driver.
He discovered go-karting for leisure and then in competition where he finished 3rd in the 2007 French Leisure Cup.

In 2012, after only 4 seasons, Florian bids farewell to karting and settles down in a single-seater during the French F4 Championship.

In 2013, he enters the North American Championship: USF 2000 Road To Indy, finishing at a superb sixth place in the General Classification.

In 2014, for his second season in USF 2000, Florian becomes US Champion by winning the championship with 3 victories, 8 podiums and 10 poles over 14 races!

In 2015, in spite of a very positive balance sheet with 1 victory, 3 podiums and 1 pole, Florian decides to change direction and becomes the Hope Porsche Carrera Cup France 2016.20-22 April – Nogaro :
The first meeting of the Porsche Carrera Cup France took place during the famous Easter races on the circuit of Nogaro from 20 to 22 April. Florian is returning to this competition this year to prepare himself as best he can for the Supercup Championship for which he has great ambitions.

Dates of the Porsche Carrera Cup France 2019 :
April 20-22 – Nogaro :
The first meeting of the Porsche Carrera Cup France took place during the famous Easter races on the circuit of Nogaro from 20 to 22 April. Florian makes his return to this competition this year to prepare himself as well as possible for the Supercup Championship for which he has great ambitions.

Florian will take the 3rd place in the General Classification before the next meeting of Spa Francorchamps.

May 2-4 – Spa-Francorchamps :
The second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup France was held at SPA Francorchamps on May 3rd and 4th during the WEC round. The spring weather at the start of the meeting quickly gave way to cold weather accompanied by rain, hail and snow.

For Race 1 on Friday afternoon, the headache for all the teams starts: rain, not rain… Finally, Florian starts on slick tires, which is perfect for Florian who quickly digs an interesting gap that will melt with the arrival of the Safety Car. While the rain starts to come, the cautious restart of Florian does not allow him to keep his 1st place. He then secured 2nd place until the finish and also earned the bonus point for the fastest lap in the race.

In Race 2, the start is given under Safety Car during 2 laps because of the particularly complicated conditions. The track is wet but dry and the surroundings are snowy. Florian’s restart is perfect this time but a few corners later, he is savagely attacked by his main competitor in the championship who loses control of his car and starts far behind. Florian still maintains his position and his car on the track and then manages his race to gain maximum points in the standings. By finishing 4th, he took back almost half of the points lost to Nogaro.

June 7-9 – Misano :
Within the framework of the DTM, Misano is the meeting point on June 8 and 9 for the 3rd meeting of the Cup France which will mark the mid-season. The hot weather of this seaside city will have been a significant element as much for the pilots as for the cars.

First Saturday and 3rd Sunday, Florian completes an efficient and fruitful weekend. In spite of the big problems met during the first meeting, he takes the second place of the General Classification at only 4 points of the leader and with an important advance on the pursuers.

September 13-15 – Magny-Cours
27-29 September – Barcelona
October 11-13 – Circuit Paul Ricard
