Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro: a “Gold Ring” tribute limited edition
Abarth unveils a new Scoprioneoro special series
We no longer present the Abarth 595 which is known and recognized for being a small city dweller that combines art of living and performance. But this Scorpioneoro livery stands out with a magnificent combination of black livery, gold details and shiny gold alloy wheels. This Abarth 595 Scorpionero is a tribute to the Autobianchi A112 Abarth Targa Oro in its “Gold Ring” version.
Only 2,000 copies will be produced, as shown by the gold plate next to the handbrake. Performance features include the good old 1.4L T-jet 165hp engine that emits between 167 and 171g of CO2 per km depending on the configuration, a Garret GT 1446 turbocharger, a double exhaust system in chromed steel, a BMC air filter, perforated (and ventilated) brake discs at the front and KONI shock absorbers at the rear. A choice of mechanical or robotized sequential gearbox with steering wheel paddle shifter is available.
At just over a ton, the Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro offers a power-to-weight ratio of 6.4 kg/hp, a 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 218 km/h. This is more than enough for a city center limited to 30 km/h. In terms of technology, this Abarth is up to date with the Uconnect 7″ HD system compatible with Apple Carplay and Google Android Auto, DAB digital radio, Beats audio system (480 w on eight channels).
