Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport: a limited edition inspired by the roads of the Alps
Porsche unveils the 911 GT3 Bergsport, a special edition created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur as a tribute to the Alps and the brand’s history in European hill climbs. Based on the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package, this particularly exclusive series will be limited to just 100 examples and offered in four countries: Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. A 911 designed around driving pleasure, combining a six-speed manual gearbox, lightweight construction and styling details directly inspired by Alpine landscapes.
A 911 GT3 designed for mountain roads
The connection between Porsche and the Alps dates back to the origins of the brand. It was in Gmünd, Austria, that the first Porsche sports cars were produced in the late 1940s. The surrounding roads and mountain passes subsequently provided an ideal testing ground for the first models, while hill climbs have played an important role in the manufacturer’s motorsport history.
The 911 GT3 Bergsport brings this heritage into a contemporary sports car. Its configuration is based on the current GT3 with Touring Package and focuses on precision, lightness and driving sensations. The six-speed manual gearbox plays a key role in this pursuit of a closer connection between driver and car.
The lightweight design package is complemented by particularly durable forged aluminium wheels, selected to meet the demands of mountain roads. A front axle lift system makes it easier to negotiate ramps and uneven surfaces, while a 90-litre fuel tank increases range on longer journeys.
Porsche chose to present this concept in its natural environment: the GT3 Bergsport made its world premiere on 3 September 2026 at the Arosa Classic Car event in Switzerland. Porsche ambassador Jörg Bergmeister took the wheel on a 7.3-kilometre route featuring 76 bends and an elevation gain of 422 metres.
Valleygreen metallic: the colours of the Alps as inspiration
The personality of the GT3 Bergsport is also expressed through a dedicated visual configuration. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has developed a new Paint to Sample Plus colour specifically for the model, called Valleygreen metallic.
This deep green with earthy tones draws direct inspiration from mountain landscapes. In the light, golden metallic particles alter its appearance, evoking the changing colours characteristic of the Alps.
The forged wheels feature satin White Gold and Ceramica finishes, combined with bright orange brake callipers. Here, Porsche references the “alpenglow”, the natural phenomenon that bathes mountain peaks in colour at sunrise and sunset.
Several details also distinguish this limited edition, including tinted HD Matrix LED headlights and a chequered pattern painted on the front bonnet, inspired by the Porsche 908 Bergspyder. A specific emblem depicting four mountain peaks symbolises the four countries for which the GT3 Bergsport is intended.
The theme continues inside with exclusive Valleygreen leather covering, among other elements, the folding carbon-fibre bucket seats. Orange stitching and various matching details echo the exterior colours. On the doors and dashboard, alternating black and white threads even create stylised silhouettes of mountain peaks.
Limited to just 100 examples, the Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport does not seek to recreate a historic Porsche. Instead, it offers a contemporary interpretation of something deeply rooted in the brand’s history: the pleasure of driving a light and precise car on the demanding roads of the Alps.
