Audi R8: the supercar according to audi
While the second-generation Audi R8 has been on the market since 2015, its revamped version has not only had a major aesthetic makeover, but its performance is even better than before.
Audi R8: sport and technology to spice up your travels
For lovers of thrills and speed, Audi's revamped R8 is simply a must-have.
Sports car par excellence, with 2 seats and using the manufacturer's Quattro all-wheel drive system, the revamped R8 has a Single Frame grille, two additional air inlets and a spoiler that contributes as much to the design of the vehicle as to the aerodynamics of its cabin.
Coupe or spyder: feel the road like never before
2 engines, 2 versions in 2 or 4 wheel drive
Audi R8: for a sporty drive down to the last millimetre
Among the notable changes in this new R8 are, on the nose, three notches on the bonnet according to the same principle as the Audi Quattro, one of whose virtues will be to boost the engine power, particularly in the case of the R8 V10. With this innovation, the power of the R8 will increase from 540 to 570 horsepower in the basic version, while the Audi R8 V10 can even reach 620 horsepower. Whether in the coupé version or the Audi R8 Spyder, there is an impressive wealth of equipment, including Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument clusters and an adjustable Magnetic Ride suspension (adaptation of the damping force).
In terms of equipment, the R8 range offers no less than 3 levels. While leather and Alcantara upholstery, sports suspensions or even 18-inch aluminium rims come as standard, black nappa leather upholstery, electronic differential lock and bi-xenon headlights will be available with the GT and LMX versions.

With quite reasonable dimensions of 4.40 m long, 1.90 m wide and 1.20 m high for a wheelbase of 2.60 m and a weight of 1560 kg (i.e. between 55 and 65 kg of less than its predecessor), it is obvious that the new R8 is a lightweight sports car capable of reaching 301 km / h, which clearly makes it a racing car transformed into a road car. The famous V10 engine will be able to propel the coupé from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds, while the convertible version will only take a few tenths of a second more. This new R8 has a dual-clutch, seven-speed gearbox and a mechanical locking differential at the rear for perfect skid control and constant stability.
