Audi TT: 20 years of existence and not a wrinkle
To properly celebrate the 20 years and some 600,000 units sold throughout the world of its famous Audi TT, the manufacturer Audi is offering its third generation coupe in a restyled version. Whether it's its aesthetic touch-ups, additional equipment or even its more powerful engine, this new generation TT has everything going for it.
Audi TT: A timeless sports coupe
Characterized by its minimalist and elegant design, the first Audi TT made an appearance in 1998 with immediate success.
Today, it is the third generation of this sporty coupe which is the subject of a particularly inspired restyling and which will satisfy both aficionados and new amateurs of beautiful mechanics. Two finishes are available, namely the entry level soberly titled "TT" and the level "S Line".
Coupe or roadster: several facets of a sports trip
5 engines and 4 finishes: you'll find yours!
Audi TT: a look that invites to sport
The standard version of the TT range includes 17-inch alloy wheels, Xenon plus headlights, LED taillights, not to mention sports seats in the front, automatic air conditioning or even active lane assist. In addition to these different features, the S Line range also includes 18-inch alloy rims, an S line exterior package, MMI Plus navigation and a chassis lowered by 10mm.
Note that the TT's 20-year anniversary edition is exclusively available in Arrow Gray and Nano Gray. Particular care has been taken in the interior, notably with brown nappa leather upholstery which matches the steering wheel as well as the gear lever, a nod to the "baseball" stitching present in the first generation. For optimal comfort for its occupants, this restyled Audi has a multimedia package that has been completely updated with the latest Apple Car Play system to control applications directly from the steering wheel. In order to comply with the latest environmental standards, the sports coupe is equipped with a particle filter, as well as a modification of its mapping.
Audi TT: Look forward to quality and performance
This restyled TT is equipped with a 245 horsepower 2.0 TFSI, quattro transmission, as well as a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. Indeed, even in the most difficult weather conditions, the Audi coupe guarantees an optimal level of safety. The quattro all-wheel drive / ESP anti-slip combination will promote perfect road grip. Whilst the model's sportiness requires no more introduction, it is also clear that comfort is also guaranteed with, most notably, lowered and reinforced metal suspensions. The sports chassis displays remarkable impact resistance, even at high speed. Fans will also appreciate the extra rear seats and the spacious trunk.
If small aesthetic touches -such as redesigned bumpers or revised radiator grilles- are immediately obvious, this sporty restyled coupe also stands out in terms of innovation and performance, with more powerful engines ranging from 197 to 245 horsepower, depending on the models, compared to the 180 –230 horsepower-range which was a feature of previous generations. You should be aware that there are only 50 units of this Audi 20 Years on the French market, and a total of 999 units worldwide. Ultimately, the restyled Audi TT of the third generation of TT models is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and elegant sports coupes currently out there.
