The New Audi A5 2024: The Perfect Balance of Elegance and Technology

The new Audi A5, available in Sedan and Avant versions, embodies the ultimate evolution of the brand’s saloons. Replacing the previous A4 and A5 models, this new generation is built on a modernised platform and features electrified powertrains. Set to launch in November, the new A5 combines sophisticated design with technological innovations to appeal to discerning automotive enthusiasts.

AN ELEGANT AND PERFORMANCE-ORIENTED DESIGN

The new Audi A5 retains the elegant lines of its predecessors while incorporating significant improvements. Its silhouette is characterised by a flowing roofline, flush door handles, and less pronounced bonnet creases, offering a refined and aerodynamic look. The flatter and less perforated Singleframe grille blends seamlessly with the new air intakes and LED headlights. These elements emphasise the sporty character of the saloon, while optional OLED rear lights add a modern touch with their 60 luminous segments per panel.

Under the bonnet, the new A5 offers a range of electrified powertrains. The 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder petrol engines are available in 150 hp and 204 hp versions, while the 2.0 TDI diesel engine delivers 204 hp, and the V6 3.0 TFSI produces 367 hp, all benefiting from 48V mild-hybrid technology. This technology significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions while providing a power boost of 24 hp. Drivers can enjoy a partially electric driving experience, ideal for parking manoeuvres and low-speed urban journeys.

The new PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) architecture on which the A5 is built optimises both performance and driving comfort. The progressive steering, combined with a revised suspension, ensures precise handling and immediate responsiveness to commands. The S5 models, featuring a sport suspension lowered by 20 mm and all-wheel drive, promise exhilarating driving sensations. Sports enthusiasts will also appreciate the torque vectoring system, which distributes power between the front and rear axles for optimal driving dynamics.

The interior of the new A5 is designed to provide superior comfort and an advanced technological experience. The dashboard features a curved display oriented towards the driver, with an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch central screen. A virtual reality head-up display and a 10.9-inch passenger screen are also available as options. The infotainment system, compatible with Google, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, ensures optimal connectivity, while the ChatGPT voice control can manage up to 800 functions on board. The Bang & Olufsen audio system, with its 20 speakers, delivers exceptional sound quality, turning every journey into an immersive experience.
